Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of training and career development on employee performance at the Department of Industry and Manpower of Kampar Regency. The population in this study were 33 employees. Sampling using the purposive sampling method where some of the population was sampled as many as 30 employees. The types and sources of data are primary and secondary data, while the data collection techniques use observation, questionnaires and interviews. The data analysis used in this research is multiple linear regression test using Smart PLS. The results of this study indicate that training and career development have a positive and significant effect on employee performance at the Department of Industry and Manpower of Kampar Regency. The level of relationship between the two variables is in the medium category, which means the ability of the independent variable to explain the dependent variable is good.
