Abstract

The number of cases of sexual violence against children increases every year. Komisi Perlindungan Anak Indonesia (KPAI) notes that there have been 1,671 cases of sexual violence against children during 2011-2015. UPT Pusat Pelayanan Terpadu Pemberdayaan Perempuan dan Anak (P2TP2A) of Riau Province has recorded 32 cases in 2015, 37 cases in 2016, 52 cases in 2017, 74 cases in 2018, and in January 2019 until October 2019 there were 53 cases sexual violence against children that occurred in Riau Province. Parents should provide lessons for their children about the importance of wearing a proper clothes and religious manners in order to prevent sexual violence against children. This study aims to find out how the religiosity of the parents of sexual violence against children’s victims in Siak Regency. The subjects in this study were three parents of victims of sexual violence against children in Siak Regency. This study used qualitative methods with purposive sampling technique. The results showed that the three subjects in this study had good religiosity in terms of religious rituals or practices, marked by the implementation of routine worship by the subject, but lacking in teach their childrenhow to wearing a proper clothes and religious manners.
