Abstract

The background in this research started from the lack of students self-confident at Junior High School 8 Tapung Regency of Kampar. The purpose in this research examined the influence of cooperative learning method students team achievement division (STAD) type on students’ self-confident in Islamic education subject at Junior High School 8 Tapung Regency of Kampar. This research used quantitative with correlational approach. The population involved all Islamic students at class VII and VIII Junior High School 8 Tapung Regency of Kampar in 43 participants and they were as sample. This research used questionnaire and documentation as data collection technique. Data analysis technique used normality test and simple regression analysis. This research finding showed that research hypothesis was accepted, where significant score 0.000 and it less than 0.05. it meant that there was influence of cooperative learning method students team achievement division (STAD) type on students’ self-confident in Islamic education subject at Junior High School 8 Tapung Regency of Kampar. The influence score (0.480 or 48%) classified into middle category. It could be concluded that there was middle influence between cooperative learning method students team achievement division (STAD) type toward students’ self-confident in Islamic education subject at Junior High School 8 Tapung Regency of Kampar.
