Abstract
This research entitled The Effect of Learning Motivation on the Learning Outcomes of Class VIII Students of SMP Negeri 3 Lirik Academic Year 2019/2020. Motivation is a student support in learning. PEducation is a process and a must for every individual, especially in achieving physical growth. Motivation is an important factor in the learning process because it can lead to positive support in achieving goals. Based on observations made by the author on February 3, 2020, grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 3 Lirik can be seen in terms of intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation seen from the lack of motivation in learning Indonesian. Based on these observations, the authors found that there are phenomena such as there are still students who are less enthusiastic in Indonesian language lessons, some students pay less attention to learning Indonesian subjects, there are still students who are lazy in learning Indonesian subjects. There are still students who have not reached the specified Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM), which is 78. The research problem is How the Effect of Learning Motivation on the Learning Outcomes of Class VIII Students of SMP Negeri 3 Lirik Academic Year 2019/2020. This study aims to describe, analyze, and interpret the data in a detailed and systematic manner, so as to obtain a true picture of the effect of learning motivation on the Indonesian language learning outcomes of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 3 Lirik. The theory used in this study is the theory of motivation proposed by Hamzah B. Uno (2014). The population in this study were 69 students of class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Lirik. The sample in this study were all students of class VIII SMP Negeri 3 Lirik which amounted to 69 students. This research method is a quantitative method. The data collection technique used was by distributing questionnaires. From the results of the questionnaire distribution, data analysis was carried out on the respondents' answers, the researcher found that the motivation of the students and the motivation that came from the teacher was still low. Based on the hypothesis test, it can be seen that the correlation coefficient is 0.616a which lies in the range 0.600 - 0.800 which is categorized as sufficient. This means that there is sufficient influence between learning motivation on learning outcomes of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 3 Lirik.
