Abstract

This research was conducted to describe the implementation of extracurricular activities of tambourine music at MTs Darul Mujahidin Kuala Mahato. In this extracurricular research activity on the art of tambourine music, the researcher used Suryosubroto's theory (2009: 148). The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of extracurricular activities of tambourine music at MTs Darul Mujahidin Kuala Mahato. In this study, researchers used a qualitative descriptive research method. This research activity was carried out at MTs Darul Mujahidin Kuala Mahato, North Tambusai District, Rokan Hulu Regency, Riau Province jl Pelajar no. 01 Kuala Mahato Village. The subjects to be studied were one teacher (prmbina) and 13 students who took part in extracurricular activities of tambourine music. Data or information that became the raw material for research, to be processed were primary data and secondary data. The data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the research on extracurricular activities of tambourine music that the researchers conducted were based on Suryosubroto's theory (2009: 148) on the goal, namely the coach clearly directed what the goals of the tambourine music extracurricular were carried out to students so that they could understand the achievement of the goals of teaching tambourine music well. The material given is the punch technique and some body movements in order to attract the attention of students to learn it so that in the teaching process the tambourine exercise can run effectively and can achieve the goals set, while the method used in learning tambourine music is by using the lecture method and demonstration (practicing). The coach gives an assessment / evaluation in accordance with the skills and hard work that has been passed by students practicing tambourine music. From this research, the researchers concluded that the extracurricular activities of the tambourine music art at MTs Darul Mujahidin Kuala Mahato were effective plus encouragement from parents. The coach is indeed an expert in playing tambourine music so that students are also more active in practicing dikarekan during the learning process. The coach also provides motivation for students so that students are more enthusiastic in implementing extracurricular activities of the art of tambourine music.
