The potential for vegetable crops is very important in today's areas. This is especially true in large cities with large land areas. The problem that occurs is planting vegetable seeds in a large area, and it will generate a lot of energy, so for that we need seed seeding technology (seeders). Currently, vegetable seeding is still done manually. Manual seeding is done by placing the seeds one by one into the hole in the seedling tray. The purpose of this study was to obtain a seeding machine with better performance and make it easier for farmers and to be able to do the seeding.This study uses data collection methods to evaluate performance and add a flow opening tool. planning for the groove opening tool in the drawing with Auto CAD software and the groove opening tool consists of a sprocket, shaft, shaft protector, groove blade. The resulting groove has a depth of approximately 20 cm with a width of 5 cm, this groove opening tool will be paired with a modified seed seeding machine by removing an axle that continues from the pulley to the axle, so that it goes straight from the pulley to the axle. wheels. Evaluate performance and get average speed after 10 m�s modification from previously only 4.2 m�s, and the groove opening tool has 0.33 hp power, 72 Nm of torque. The results obtained by the path opening tool can facilitate the work of farmers and reduce losses due to scattered seeds during manual sowing and increase the speed of production of seedlings carried out by seed sowing machines.
