Abstract

Road geometric planning is the most important part of road planning which is in physical form so that it can provide optimum service to traffic flow with high accessibility, so road geometric planning must be considered for safety and driving comfort. The purpose of this research is to know the planning, calculation of the existing Horizontal Mainroad Interchange Geometric Alignment of Pekanbaru - Kandis toll road according to the method of the Directorate General of Highways for toll road classification. In this research, the researchers calculated Horizontal Alignment using the Standard Geometric Method of Toll Road No. 007 BM 2009 where the Full Circle (FC), Spiral - Circle - Spiral (SCS), and Spiral - Spiral (SS) methods were used, calculating the bend distance between coordinate points. , visibility, side freedom area, and curve superelevation diagram. In this study there are five samples of bend points with PI1 sta 2+000 – 2+464, PI2 sta 1+165 – 1+979, PI3 sta 4+000 – 4+442, PI4 sta 3+000 – 3+400, PI5 sta 1+000 – 1+636, was studied with the classification of toll road class arterial roads in hilly areas with a predetermined design speed of 60 km/hour, to obtain Horizontal Alignment values, side bend freedom values and curve superelevation diagram values according to the Department Public Works of the Directorate General of Highways for Classification of Toll Roads. The dominant method used in these bend conditions is the Full Circle (FC) method and the Spiral - Circle - Spiral (S-C-S) method.
