Abstract

The title of this research is "The Form of Mars Song SMP Negeri 18 Pekanbaru Jaya Abadi Negriku by M.Imam Sentosa", the formulation of the problem discussed in this research is How is the Form of the Mars Song of SMP Negeri 18 Pekanbaru Jaya Abadi Negriku by M. Imam Sentosa. The theory used in this study is the theory of Karl-Edmund Prier SJ (2004: 2) which discusses the form of songs. In this finding, the musical elements that make up this song are melody, harmony, rhythm, tempo, timre, dynamics and cadence. The method used in this research is non-interactive qualitative method, the research subject is the song of Mars SMP Negeri 18 Pekanbaru Jaya Abadi Negeriku by M. Imam Sentosa. The types and sources of data obtained are primary data and secondary data. Data collection techniques in this study were observation and documentation. From the results that the writer has done with the song Mars SMP Negeri 18 Pekanbaru Jaya Abadi Negriku by M. Imam Sentosa, that the form of the Mars song SMP Negeri 18 Pekanbaru is included in the form of a 2 part song, with the form of sentences A, A 'and B, with a number of themes 2 themes. The song Mars SMP Negeri 18 Pekanbaru has a 4/4 sukat sign, the tempo used is Allegreto, with a speed of 110. The Mars song for SMP Negeri 18 Pekanbaru consists of 43 bars, the scale used is 2 # (D = DO).
