Abstract
This research was conducted in Pekanbaru City. The data obtained were obtained from the manager of the Durian and Bolu Kemojo Cake and from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Pekanbaru City. The purpose of this study was to determine the business prospects of the traditional food business, namely Kue Talam Durian and Bolu Kemojo and the role of the bakery business in the absorption of labor in Pekanbaru City, while the benefits of this research were as material for consideration for the government, investors and related agencies in the preparation of development policies. economics, industrial development policies, especially the traditional food sector in Pekanbaru City as well as a source of information for further research with the same discussion or development of this research. This research was conducted using descriptive data analysis and quantitative data analysis, descriptive data analysis is an analysis that provides a clear picture of the problem being studied and interprets data derived from primary and secondary data. Quantitative analysis is an analysis that displays mathematical models to see the feasibility of a traditional food business, namely durian cake and kemojo cake in Pekanbaru City. The results of this study are from the data from the questionnaire of 10 respondents which shows that each traditional food business, namely Cake Talam Durian and Bolu Kemojo in Pekanbaru City is feasible and appropriate to run. The role of the bakery business in the absorption of labor in Pekanbaru City shows positive results, which means that every time there is a growth in the traditional food business, both Durian Cake and Kemojo Cake, there will be employment.
