Abstract
This study aims to determine the prospect of chili chip small business and its role in employment in Dumai City. This research is a type of descriptive research with a quantitative approach. The data collection techniques used are questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The number of respondents in this study were three respondents. The results showed that the prospect of small chili chips business in Dumai City obtained a BCR value > 1, namely the Ika chili chip business B/C 5.01, Maisatun B/C 4.91 and Jumi B/C 4.77, which means that the business Chili chips are feasible to run and have good prospects for the development of the business. Then for the absorption of labor, there are 60 workers who are absorbed in the prospect of this chili chip small business. The more prospects for small businesses, the more workers are absorbed.
