Abstract

The Murabahah contract is a sale and purchase agreement between the seller and the buyer, which is known its capital cost and profit by the cooperative management and the cooperative members. In sharia cooperatives, there is a murabahah contract that helps members' needs. The aim of this study is to investigate the implementation of profit sharing system and Murabahah contract in the Sharia Cooperative of the Ministry of Religious Affairs in Solok Regency. The theoretical framework of this study is the implementation of profit sharing system (profit and loss sharing) as well as the principles and terms of Murabahah (contract, object, acquisition cost, profit, and installment payment). The type of this study is field research with a qualitative descriptive method, and the data are presented in the form of tables, pie charts, calculation of averages and percentages by using descriptive statistical methods. The data sources used are primary data and secondary data. The population consists of 464 cooperative members and 2 cooperative managers with a sample of 82 people. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. The data collection techniques used are interviews and questionnaires. Based on the results of the interviews, it can be concluded that the implementation of financing and Murabahah contract in the sharia cooperative have gone well, the type of contract used is the murabahah bil wakalah and about the profit sharing system based on the answers of 82 respondents, stated that 62% strongly agree, 31% agree, 5% neutral, 2% disagree, and 0% strongly disagree. The average score of 354 lies in the agree area of the continuum line. So, it can be concluded that the members of sharia cooperative agree with the profit sharing system implemented by the sharia cooperative, and from the profit sharing benefits, the welfare of sharia cooperative members is fulfilled and the principles implemented are in accordance with Islamic law.
