Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of motivation on the performance of employees of the Pekanbaru Legal Aid Institute through job satisfaction as an intervening variable. The population of this study were all employees of the Pekanbaru Legal Aid Institute for Employees at the position of legal aid servant and assistant legal aid servant, totaling 41 employees. And the sample used is 41 employees. Data collection techniques by distributing questionnaires, interviews, observations, and analytical test tools using PLS for testing convergent validity, discriminant validity, reliability, hypothesis testing. The research method used in this research is descriptive quantitative method. Based on the results of the tests conducted, there is a positive and significant effect between motivation on employee performance, there is a positive and significant influence between motivational variables on job satisfaction, there is a positive and significant effect between job satisfaction variables on performance, and there is a positive and significant influence between motivation variables on job satisfaction. performance through job satisfaction as an intervening variable
