Abstract
Making tofu is one of the efforts that can be done in an effort to increase the added value of soybean products. This study aims to analyze: 1) Characteristics of entrepreneurs, workers and business profiles of tofu agroindustry; 2) Production technology, use of production factors, costs, production, income and efficiency of tofu agroindustry; 3) Marketing of tofu agroindustry; 4) Strategy for developing Sido Makmur tofu agroindustry in Sekijang Village, Bandar Seikijang District, Pelalawan Regency. The research method is a survey method on the Sido Makmur tofu agroindustry in Sekijang Village, Bandar Seikijang District, Pelalawan Regency. The research was carried out for 6 months starting from June to December 2021. The data used in this study were primary data and secondary data. Data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively and qualitatively, business analysis, marketing and development strategy using the SWOT matrix method. The results showed that the entrepreneur was 41 years old, had 12 years of education, 15 years of business experience and 2 family dependents. The average workforce is 35 years old, the average level of education is 10.5 years, 4 years of business experience and 2 family dependents. The profile of Sido Makmur's tofu agro-industry is a micro-scale business with the characteristics of capital coming from individuals and the number of workers coming from within the family totaling 3 people including entrepreneurs. The technology used in making tofu is semi-mechanical, using human power and simple machines. Making tofu starts from the stages of soaking, washing, grinding, cooking soybean porridge, filtering, settling, printing, cutting and storing. The use of soybean raw materials as much as 50 kg/day and the use of supporting materials for firewood pick up, 4 liters of diesel, and electricity of Rp. 8,333/day. Fixed costs of Rp. 213,398 and variable costs of Rp. 605,333. Total production 200 kg/day. Gross income per production process/day is Rp. 1,000,000. Net income per day is IDR 181,369. Business efficiency is 1.22. The agr-industrial marketing agency knows that Sido Makmur is just an entrepreneur. Marketing channels use direct marketing channels, namely producers to consumers. The marketing function consists of the functions of purchasing, selling, transporting, storing, packaging, market information and risk management. 3% marketing efficiency. The agro-industry development strategy is in quadrant I by implementing the SO strategy, namely: 1. Increasing the durability/storage of tofu and increasing the amount of production, 2. Making special sales outlets at business locations.
