Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of teaching arts and culture (offering dance) in class X Muhammadiyah 2 SMK Pekanbaru. This research uses descriptive qualitative. There are 3 data collection techniques used in this study, namely: observation techniques, interviews, documentation. Sources in this study were 25 people, 1 teacher of cultural arts and 25 class X students at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru in the 2019/2020 academic year. Based on the research results, it can be described that class X at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Pekanbaru uses the 2013 curriculum. Learning uses the e-learning method (online learning). In online learning, this is a little different from usual, because at the time of the Covid pandemic, the RPP used was still the old lesson plan, but the government gave the responsibility to schools to formulate how learning methods in pursuit of using online (online). And also the government gives the responsibility to the school to regulate how the curriculum will be used according to the circumstances. The assessment criteria taken are attitude assessment, knowledge assessment, skills assessment. The material taught is the dance offerings. In carrying out the learning process the teacher carries out several activities for students, namely 1. Opening activities, 2 core activities, 3 closing activities. The entire learning process is carried out through the WhatsApp group.
