Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between learning facilities and learning motivation during the online learning period in class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Pekanbaru in the 2020/2021 school year. The research was conducted in March 2021. The sample in this study were 160 students. This research is a correlational study and data collection using questionnaires, interviews and observation sheets. Data analysis in this study used a quantitative descriptive approach, using product moment analysis. The results showed that the average value of learning facilities was 79.22% belonging to the good category. Meanwhile, students' learning motivation of 80.49% belongs to the high category. The results of hypothesis testing where there is a correlation between learning facilities and learning motivation with a value of 0.850 or 85% which belongs to the very high category. While the test is significant where the value of tug (20.28224)> t table (1.97509), it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted which explains that learning facilities have a significant relationship to learning motivation. The result of the coefficient of determination test resulted in which the contribution of learning facilities (X) to learning motivation (Y) in the online learning period in Class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Pekanbaru in the academic year 2020/2021 was 72.25% or classified into the high category.
