Abstract

The interest in learning is very important in the smooth learning process of teaching in schools because the interest in learning has a huge influence on the achievement and learning activities of students. In the survey, there were still some students who had low interest in learning, this was characterized by symptoms such as students sleeping in the classroom, students talking to their friends and playing while the teaching process was underway. One of the efforts to increase students' learning interests is with counseling guidance. The formula of the problem in this study is whether there is an influence of counseling on students' learning interests in MTsN 3 Pekanbaru. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of counseling guidance on students' learning interests. The type of research used in this study is a kuantitatf study with a correlation approach. The research site was conducted at MTsN 3 Pekanbaru. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, Population in this study is a problematic MTsN 3 pekanbaru student, taken from the list of students / students targeted by counseling guidance teachers in bk room which numbered 22 people and at the same time sampled in this study. Based on the results of processing and analysis of data conducted using the SPSS program, it is obtained t count results of 0.436 with a significance score of 0.668 where the value of significance above 0.05 can be concluded that counseling guidance has no effect on students' learning interests in MTsN 3 Pekanbaru.
