Abstract
Indonesia has a variety of flora and fauna which is the main capital for national development. However, development in Indonesia prioritizes economic and social issues by suppressing the environment. Many endemic species have lost their natural habitats, one of which is geronggang tree (Cratoxylum arborescens (Vahl.) Blume). In fact, this tree is able to grow on land that was ex-peat fire, thus helping restoration. This concern supports the geronggang conservation efforts carried out by the local Bengkalis community. This effort needs to be instilled in students through conservation education with a conservation module based on local wisdom. It is hoped that with the conservation module by the local community, the application of the knowledge contained in the school can be useful in the surrounding environment. This research was conducted in 3 high schools in Bengkalis, namely SMAN 1 Bantan, SMAN 1 Bengkalis, and SMAN 2 Bengkalis in May 2022. The method used was a survey with a qualitative description approach. Based on the results of the calculation of the level of validity, the module gets an average score 96,36% from material experts (very good), 96.88% from learning experts (very good), 91,67% from media experts (very good), 91,67% from biology teachers (very good) . This means that the module developed is very feasible as a biology teaching material. The Geronggang Tree Conservation Module (Cratoxylum arborescens (Vahl.) Blume) by the Bengkalis Local Community received a very good response from the students so that it obtained an average score percentage of 96.03% (very good).
