Abstract

Learning difficulties during online learning is a condition where students are unable to learn online optimally. This study aims to determine learning difficulties in online learning in biology learning. The research was carried out using a descriptive method with survey techniques for class XI IPA students of SMAN 1 Bangko, Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau Province, for the 2020/2021 Academic Year. The sampling technique used stratified sampling technique (proportional stratified random sampling). The number of research samples was 114 students. The instrument used is an online learning difficulty questionnaire consisting of 32 items and has been validated. The data collection technique used an online questionnaire made through google form. The results showed that the level of learning difficulties in online learning was in the high category with a percentage of 71.22%. The highest difficulty experienced by students was found in indicators of technical obstacles that affect signals and disabilities in online learning, while the lowest difficulty was found in indicators of attention and family support during online learning. The conclusion obtained from the results of this study is that students of XI SMAN 1 Bangko, Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau Province, for the 2020/2021 Academic Year, have learning difficulties during online learning in biology lessons, especially on technical constraints that affect signals and disabilities in online learning.Referring to this, teachers and schools are expected to improve the quality of teaching and provide services that are more supportive of student learning activities during online learning.
