Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of learning difficulties of students in integrated science learning class VIII at MTsN 1 Bengkalis by using cognitive problem restrictions. This type of research uses a quantitative descriptive approach. The population is class VIII at MTsN 1 Bengkalis and the sample used is 72 students. The instruments used to obtain data in this study were questionnaires, observations, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that: (1) emotional difficulties in student learning difficulties in integrated science learning class VIII are in the high category (61.70%). (2) the difficulty of remembering the students' learning difficulties in integrated science learning class VIII is in the high category (64.13%). (3) the difficulty of thinking on students' learning difficulties when learning Integrated Science class VIII is in the high category (63.17%). (4) language difficulties in students' learning difficulties when learning Integrated Science class VIII are in the high category (62.50%). The most frequent and most frequent difficulty experienced by students in the Integrated Science learning unit is the difficulty in remembering because students often find it difficult to remember the material even though they have read it many times. In addition, students also have difficulty understanding the subject matter.
