Abstract
ABSTRACT The development of information technology is very rapid, affecting several fields including trade, the development of this information technology gave birth to e-commerce or electronic commerce that changed people's lives in the field of buying and selling which previously had to meet face to face between traders and buyers, with advances in information technology with with a PC or smartphone and an internet network, they can make buying and selling transactions without meeting in person, through buying and selling sites and chatting, buyers just order the items they need and send money. then the merchant delivers the goods, the development of information technology creates new buying and selling objects such as online game items, the goods are non-physical or virtual intangible goods, virtual items can be defined as an object or object that is intangible that is traded used in In online games, problems arise, the object of buying and selling must be clear and can be used, while buying and selling online game items in virtual form is not yet clear. The main problem from this research is how the mechanism of buying and selling online game items is in virtual form and how is the view in muamalah fiqh law on buying and selling virtual online game items. This study uses the normative research method of Islamic law, normative Islamic law is a research method that makes Islamic legal norms the object of research. The term normative means sticking to the norm; according to the prevailing norms or rules and the nature of this research is descriptive which gives a clear picture of buying and selling online game items in virtual form. The mechanism for buying and selling game items in the form of virtual in- game (in-game) is a mechanism created by game developers to make it easier for players to meet the needs for these online game items, while the out-game mechanism (outside the game) is another option to meet the needs for game items, which can be used to open new business fields and new objects of sale for small traders and become a source of income for those who sell them. Next, the author connects Islamic norms regarding the legal requirements of buying and selling with the case of the object of buying and selling online game items in the form of virtual by proving the elements that have been met so that the author draws a conclusion that with the fulfillment of the conditions and the object of buying and selling can be used, the online game item in the virtual form is legal to be traded according to Muamalah Fiqh, as long as there are no elements in fraud or cheating that could result in one-sided loss.
