Abstract

The Aesthetic Value of the Sekar Jagat Dance at the Agung Jagatnatha Temple, Pekanbaru City, Riau Province Sara Haguswina NPM. 176710011 Advisor Hj. Yahyar Erawati S.Kar., M.Sn NID. 1024026101 ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to find out how the Aesthetic Value of Sekar Jagat Dance at Pura Agung Jagatnatha Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. The theory used in this research is The Liang Gie (1996:49), namely: 1) Unity, 2) Harmony, 3) Equality (symmetry), 4) Balance, 5) Contrast. ). The research method uses descriptive analysis with a qualitative approach. The results of this study are 1) to find out the formulation of the problem, namely How is the Aesthetic Value of Sekar Jagat Dance at Pura Agung Jagatnatha Pekanbaru City, Riau Province. Sekar Jagat dance is a dance to welcome guests. Sekar Jagat dance means, "Sekar" is a flower and "Jagat" is the whole nature, so it means to describe the peace and beauty of a world filled with fragrant flowers. The elements of dance that are analyzed are about the beauty of variety of motion, the beauty of floor patterns, the beauty of music, the beauty of fashion, the beauty of makeup, and the beauty of property. All will be discussed one by one.
