Abstract
ABSTRACT Corruption is a reality of human behavior in social interactions that are considered deviant, and endanger society and the state. Therefore, this behavior in all its forms is denounced by the public, even by the corruptors themselves in accordance with the expression "corruptors shout corruptors". Therefore, there must be an action taken to reduce corruption itself which is carried out by an institution that plays an important role in eradicating corruption, in this research the agency is the Supreme Audit Agency in collaboration with the Medan District Attorney. The problem in this research is how the role of the BPK in cooperation with the Medan State Attorney's Office in eradicating corruption in the city of Medan and what are the obstacles to the BPK's cooperation with the Medan State Attorney's Office in eradicating corruption. The research method used in the preparation of this scientific paper is a legal research method that combines normative research methods and empirical research methods, data collection is carried out by conducting library research, distributing questionnaires to the BPK Representative of North Sumatra Province and also by conducting interviews with prosecutors at the District Attorney's Office. Medan. The results obtained in this study are that BPK in collaboration with the Medan District Attorney has a role in eradicating criminal acts of corruption in the city of Medan by means of BPK calculating state losses, BPK can carry out investigative examinations, and If there is a criminal act of corruption, the BPK reports the results of its examination to the Medan District Attorney.
