Abstract

, this research is entitled: "The Effect of Phonska OPEFB Fertilizer and NPK Fertilizer on Cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) Production". Under the guidance of Mr. Ir. Zulkifli, MS. This research was carried out in the experimental garden of the Riau Islamic Agriculture Faculty, for 3 months starting from November 2020 to January 2021. The purpose of this study was to determine the interaction effect and the main effect of Phonska OPEFB and NPK fertilizers on cucumber crop production. The design used was a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors. The first factor is the provision of OPEFB fertilizer which consists of 4 levels, namely 0; 100; 200; 300 grams/plant and the second factor is the provision of NPK Phonska which consists of 4 levels, namely 0; 10; 20; 30 grams/plant consisting of 3 replications, in order to obtain 48 experimental plots. Where each plot unit consists of 4 plants, and 2 plants as samples. Parameters observed were flowering age, percentage of flower to pistil, percentage of pistil to fruit, age of harvest, number of fruit planted, weight of fruit planted, weight of fruit per plot, and number of fruit residues. Observational data from each treatment were statistically analyzed and followed by a further test of Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) at the 5% level. From the results of the research that has been carried out, it is concluded that the interaction of giving OPEFB fertilizer and NPK Phonska affects the parameters of the pistil into fruit, harvest age, number of fruit planted, fruit weight planted, fruit weight per plot with the best treatment of 300 gram OPEFB fertilizer/plant and NPK Phonska 30 grams/plant. The main effect of OPEFB fertilizer is on flowering age, percentage of flowers into pistils, percentage of pistils into fruit, age of harvest, number of fruit planted, weight of fruit planted, and weight of fruit per plot with the best treatment of 300 grams/plant. The main effect of Phonska NPK was on the percentage of flowers into pistils, the percentage of pistils into fruit, harvest age, number of fruit planted, weight of fruit planted, weight of fruit per plot, number of leftover fruit with the best treatment of 30 grams/plant.
