Abstract

This study aims to develop technology-based interactive learning media to improve students' mathematical reasoning abilities which are still low. The reasoning in this study was to overcome the tendency of students who don't like learning mathematics because of the low mathematical reasoning of students' ability. This Research & Development (R&D) uses the ASSURE learning design. The subjects of the development of learning media Macromedia Flash are junior high school students in Ujung Batu, Rokan Hulu Regency. The research instrument was in the form of an expert and practitioner validity assessment sheet. Data analysis used descriptive statistics to see the percentage of answers from experts and practitioners to obtain conclusions. The developed Macromedia Flash has animated features that attract students' attention so that students have a high interest or motivation in learning mathematics at any level. Experts and practitioners assess Macromedia Flash learning media in the valid category with an average value of 83.67%. Experts and practitioners also rate Macromedia Flash learning media in the practical category with an average of 84.37%.
