Abstract

Ability to Analyze Structure and Language Rules of Procedure Text for Class XI Students of SMA Negeri 1 Siak Kecil, Bengkalis Regency for the 2018/2019 academic year. This study describes the ability of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Siak Kecil, Bengkalis Regency in analyzing the structure and linguistic rules of procedure texts. The problems studied in this study are: How is the ability to analyze the structure of the procedural text of class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Siak Kecil, Bengkalis Regency for the 2018/2019 academic year? and How is the ability to analyze the linguistic rules of procedural texts for class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Siak Kecil, Bengkalis Regency, for the 2018/2019 academic year? This study uses a descriptive method with a quantitative approach, this type of research is included in the class research of data collection techniques, namely observation and test, data analysis techniques are carried out by collecting, classifying, and analyzing data. The results showed that the ability to analyze the structure of the procedural text of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Siak Kecil Bengkalis Regency for the 2018/2019 academic year was categorized as good (70%) in this case the hypothesis was accepted. Meanwhile, the ability to analyze the linguistic rules of procedural texts for class XI SMA Negeri 1 Siak Kecil Bengkalis Regency for the 2018/2019 academic year is categorized as good enough (53%) and in this case the hypothesis is rejected.
