Abstract

Analyzing scientific papers is one of the most important language skills develop students' imagination and thinking skills. Therefore, scientific work needs to be taught to students, work analysis skills scientific studies are studied in the 2013 curriculum of Indonesian language subjects in high school, especially class XI. This scientific work is contained in Basic Competence 3.15 to analyze the systematics and linguistics of scientific works. The problems studied in this study are: How is the ability of students in analyzing the systematics of scientific work in class XI YLPI SMA Pekanbaru? and how is the student's ability to analyze language a scientific paper for class XI SMA YLPI Pekanbaru? The purpose of this research is to describe students' ability to systematically analyze scientific works class XI SMA YLPI Pekanbaru and describe the students' ability in analyzing the linguistics of a class XI scientific paper at YLPI Senior High School Pekanbaru. Study This study uses descriptive methods and quantitative approaches. The theory that used in this research is the theory of scientific work proposed by Dalman (2004), Kusmana (2010), Ministry of Education and Culture (2017), and Kosasih (2016). The results showed that the students' ability to analyze systematics of scientific work for class XI SMA YLPI Pekanbaru for the 2019/2020 academic year good category (80.43 ) in this case the hypothesis is accepted. While on student's ability to analyze the language of scientific work in class XI SMA YLPI Pekanbaru Academic Year 2019/2020 is categorized as very bad (38.64) in this case the hypothesis is rejected.
