Abstract

Water is the main need for humans and other living things. Human need for water is a daily need such as cooking, washing, bathing, drinking, fishing, livestock and others. The increasing population has resulted in an increase in the need for clean water. The purpose of this study were to determine the distribution and direction of groundwater flow, the feasibility of physical and chemical groundwater quality, zoning mapping of the distribution of groundwater quality, and the condition of groundwater facies in Resam Lapis Village, Bantan District, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. The parameters tested were color, taste, odor, temperature, dissolved solids (TDS), electrical conductivity (DHL) and pH. There are 15 well stations analyzed. Overall, the color of groundwater was divided into three, namely clear, cloudy and brown, which is more dominant in the cloudy color; The taste of groundwater was divided into two, namely flavored groundwater and tasteless groundwater, which is more dominantly tasteless; there were odorless and odorless groundwater which is predominantly odorless; groundwater temperature ranges from 28.50C - 29.20C; TDS values ranged from 303.1 mg/l – 6756 mg/l; DHL values range from 504 S/cm - 11105 S/cm; and a pH value of 4.5-6.4. The results of groundwater facies analysis based on the Kurlov classification method, stiff diagram and piper diagram show 3 groups of groundwater facies, namely; the Cl+SO4 facies group that fills the northwest to the north of the study area; the Na(K) Cl(SO4) facies group that fills the southeast to the south of the study area; and the Na(K) HCO3 facies group that fills the eastern part of the study area. Groundwater in the research area of the 15 well stations that were taken for groundwater, none of the stations met the requirements of Permenkes No. 492/Menkes/Per/IV/2010 concerning the quality of drinking water and Permenkes No. 32 of 2017 concerning Environmental Health Quality Standards for Sanitary Hygiene Needs.
