Abstract

Groundwater is an important material on earth because water is needed by all living things. The environmental conditions of densely populated areas can affect the quality of groundwater. The purpose of this study were to determine the distribution and direction of groundwater flow, the feasibility of groundwater quality in physical- chemical, the groundwater quality mapping zoning, and groundwater facies conditions in Bantan Tengah Village, Bantan District, Bengkalis Regency, Riau Province. The parameters tested were color, taste, smell, temperature, dissolved solids (TDS), electrical conductivity (DHL) and pH. There are 12 well stations analyzed, overall the dominant color groundwater was brown, the dominant taste of groundwater was fresh, the dominant smell of groundwater no smelly, the temperature ranged from 28,3oC - 28.9oC, the TDS value ranged from 375,2 mg / l - 6765 mg / l, DHL values ranged from 616 μS / m – 11.110 μS / m and pH values ranged from 6,43 – 6,58. The results of the groundwater facies analysis based on the Kurlov calcification method, the Stiff diagram and the Piper diagram show 3 types of groundwater equations in the study area, namely Na(K)Cl(SO4) at station 2 and station 4 , Ca(Mg)Cl(SO4) at station 8 and Cl+SO4 at station 9. Almost all Groundwater in the study area is not consumable. There is only 1 well out of 12 wells that meet the quality standards based on the regulation of the Minister of Health No.492/MENKES/PER/2010, namely at station 6.
