Abstract

Tire waste is a waste generated from burning tires by passing the 100 filter. In this study waste tires from combustion that become ash are used for soil stabilization mix in order to determine the effect of adding tire ash waste as a mix of soft soil to the bearing strength of the soil. The use of tire ash waste a mix in soil stabilization with 5% cement with variations in the mixture content of 0%, 5%, 7,5%, and 10% of the dry weight of the original soil with 1, 4, and 7 days of curing and 7 days of immersion. The testis carried out with the CBR test based on SNI 1738 : 2011 regarding CBR testing. Based on the results of research that has been carried out on mixed soil with 0% curing for 1 day, the value is 1,51%, 4 days is 4,72%, and 7 days 1,95%, and at 7 days immersion is 3,88%. In a mixture of soil and cement 5%, 1 day of curing was obtained a value of (14,89%), 4 days of curing was (16,62%), and for 7 days of curing the value was (19,74%), and immersion 7 days (5,67%). In the 5% variation of tire ash, the curing value for 1 day is 17,50%, 4 days by 24,56%, and 7 days by 15,57%. In the variation of tire ash waste 7,5% 1 day the value is 16,72%, 4 days is 25,22%, 7 days is 37,39%. In the 10% variation of tire ash waste 1 day the value is 23,11%, 4 days is 30,23%, 7 days is 37,32%. 7 days of soaking 5% tire ash 18,82%, 7,5% tire ash 12,67%, 10% tire ash 11,72%.
