Abstract

This research is motivated by Islamic aesthetics which is a observations that emphasize the reality of religion in terms of culture. Aesthetics from an Islamic point of view states how works of art which has been manifested by the presence of that religion to its adherents. Problem The research is how are the aesthetic elements of Islam contained in the novel? Kembara Rindu by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. The theory used is the theory Islamic aesthetics Hamidy (1991:91) Islamic aesthetics includes 7 aspects, namely: (1) Remembering and serving Allah is an incomparable happiness. (2) The essence of the reality of the world is nothingness. (3) The journey of human life is shaping his destiny. (4) The meeting of the servant with the creator gives puspa variety of shadows. (5) The afterlife will be proof of Allah's righteousness. (6) Nature is a gift from God and has provided various materials (materials) as well as cultural frame for humans. (7) Prophet Muhammad (may Allah bestow mercy to him is a mercy to the whole world. Author problem limitation does not limit the problem under study. The research approach is the approach qualitative. This type of research is library research. The research method used is descriptive method. The technique used is, technique hermeneutic. The results of the study indicate that there is an Islamic aesthetic in the novel Kembara Rindu by Habiburrahman El Shirazy. The Islamic Aesthetics related to aspects of remembering and serving Allah a happiness peerless is dominant. In contrast to the aspect of nature the reality of the world is the least of nothingness, for remembering and serving to Allah is the beauty of getting closer to Allah.
