Abstract

This study aims to investigate how the implementation of shrimp paste processing in the Islamic economic review in Bagan Siapiapi, West Bagan Village, Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency and to investigate whether the shrimp paste processing industry or the entrepreneurship are in accordance with the production process in the Islamic economics. The problem formulation of the study is how the implementation of shrimp paste processing in the Islamic economic review in Bagan Siapiapi, West Bagan Village, Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency. This is a qualitative study. The data sources of the study are primary and secondary data. The data collection techniques of the study are observation, interviews, and documentation. The interviews were conducted with 20 informants from 10 places of shrimp paste processing industry. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that from the aspect of production factors in Islam, the shrimp paste processing industry in Bagan Siapiapi, West Bagan Village, Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency, in the Islamic Economic Review, the entrepreneurs use land for processing shrimp paste, the entrepreneurs are fair to workers and the workers never feel disadvantaged. From the aspect of the production principles in Islam on the shrimp paste Processing Industry in Bagan Siapiapi, West Bagan Village, Bangko District, Rokan Hilir Regency, it is known that the industry or the entrepreneurs use the basic ingredients of shrimp which is included in halal animals for consumption by Muslims, use the main ingredients according to the needs, donate some of the profits from the sale of shrimp paste for charity and pay zakat, and manage the shrimp in moderation.
