Abstract

Deva Aditya Damanik (164110410). The research entitled "The Effect of Dosage and Frequency of Application of POC Banana Peel on the Growth and Production of Tomato Plants (Solanum lycopersicum)". Under the guidance of Dr.Ir. Saripah Ulpah M. sc. This research was carried out at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, this research lasted for 4 months starting from December 2020 to March 2021. This experiment used a 3 x 3 Factorial Completely Randomized Design consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is the dose of POC banana peel kepok with 3 treatment levels, namely 200, 400, 600 ml/liter of water and the second factor is the frequency of application of POC banana peel kepok 2 (1 and 3 MST), 3 (1.3 and 5 MST), 4 ( 1, 3, 5 and 7 MST) to obtain 9 treatment combinations. Each treatment consisted of 3 replications to obtain 27 experimental units (plots). Parameters observed were plant height, age of flowering, age of first harvest, number of fruit planted, weight of fruit planted, and number of remaining fruit from planting. The data were statistically analyzed and continued with the honest significant difference test (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of administration and frequency of application of POC banana peel kepok affected all parameters of the observation, the best treatment was giving POC banana peel kepok as much as 600 ml/liter of water and the frequency of application of POC banana peel kepok 4 applications (1, 3, 5 and 7).
