Abstract

PARKING DEVELOPMENT BY THE SERVICE OF TRANSPORTATION PEKANBARU CITY (Study of Task Implementation Violations by Parking Attendants in Front of SKA Mall Pekanbaru) MUHAMMAD DAVID YUSMENDRA NPM. 167310225 ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to determine the mechanism of Parking Guidance by the Transportation Department of Pekanbaru City. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method, with indicators of assessment are planning, organizing, directing and monitoring. Types and sources of data used are primary data and secondary data through data collection techniques, namely interviews, observation and documentation. Meanwhile, the data analysis used is the analysis consisting of three activities that occur simultaneously, namely: data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions / verification. Based on the results of research, the Pekanbaru City Transportation Service in parking guidance has carried out several activities, one of which is to disseminate and understand the parking rules for existing parking attendants and conduct counseling and inspections of parking attendants who have potential parking areas. In the development of parking, collaborating routinely with a third party in which the third party will be established for one year, if the cooperation contract that has been carried out ends, the Pekanbaru City Transportation Agency will re-auction the parking problem in Pekanbaru City. Meanwhile, employees of the Pekanbaru City Transportation Office are considered to have sufficient abilities, this can be seen from the knowledge and understanding possessed by each employee regarding the applicable parking rules. Pekanbaru City Transportation Agency has not been able to carry out equal supervision of parking attendants in Pekanbaru City. One of the inhibiting factors for parking development by the Pekanbaru City Transportation Agency is the lack of human resources in parking development and also most of the parking attendants do not understand parking rules.
