Abstract

This study aims to find out the general description of students’ morals and how the Internalization of Moral Values by Islamic Studies Teachers at SMKN 1 Rengat. This is a qualitative study with a case study approach. The subject of the study is the teachers of Islamic Studies and the object of the study is the internalization of moral values by Islamic Studies teachers at SMKN 1 Rengat. The data collection techniques of the study are observation, interviews and documentation. The results of the study show that the morals of students at SMKN 1 Rengat are categorized as good. Based on the interviews, it can be concluded that the process of Internalizing Moral Values by Islamic Studies Teachers is categorized as quite effective, by providing 5 methods, e.i. exemplary, recommendation, habituation, prohibition, motivation and threats. In the efforts of Islamic Studies teachers to internalize moral values on the students at SMKN 1 Rengat, there are two significant stages. In the stage of value transformation, the internalization of moral values is in the form of discipline, worship, reciting the Quran, speaking politely, not lying and truant. In the stage of value transaction, the internalization of moral values is by giving a good influence on students such as forbidding students to eat while walking and giving advice. In conclusion, the Islamic Studies Teachers are very helpful in internalizing the students’ morals by always providing knowledge about the importance of moral values in daily life and also encouraging students to have good morals or noble morals.
