Abstract
This research is motivated by the many learning methods that can be used during learning, one of which is Project Based Learning. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of the Project Based Learning model on the creative thinking skills of students of the Islamic Education Study Program, Faculty of Islamic Religion, Isalm Riau University during learning. The method used in this study leads to the collection of data used in the form of literature studies through books, journals, and the results of field research conducted by previous researchers that are relevant to this research. Project Based Learning is able to improve the ability of students of the Islamic Education Study Program, Faculty of Islamic Religion, Riau Islamic University in creative thinking where this is shown by the process during learning, creativity that develops not only in student skills in carrying out projects but also students' abilities in utilizing technology. Students' technological abilities are honed through the use of technology as a medium to communicate their work to lecturers and the use of technology as a medium to work to create a new product.
