Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Jalan Kaharudin Nasution No. 113, Km. 11 Water Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru. This research was carried out for 3 months from December to February 2021. The purpose of this study was to determine the interaction and effect of Bokhasi Kiambang and NPK 16-16-16 Fertilizer on the Growth and Production of Shallots (Allium ascalonicum L.) on Peat Media. The design used was a factorial completely randomized design consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is the provision of Bokashi Kiambang (B) which consists of 4 levels, namely 0 g/polybag, 125 g/polybag, 250 g/polybag and 375 g/polybag and the second factor is the provision of NPK 16-16-16 (N) with 4 The levels were 0 g/polybag, 1.875 g/polybag, 3.750 g/polybag and 5.625 g/polybag, so that 16 treatment combinations were obtained. Each treatment consisted of 3 replications so that there were 48 experimental units. Each experimental unit consisted of 4 plants, so the total number of plants was 192 plants. Parameters observed were: plant height, number of leaves, age of harvest, number of tubers, wet weight of tubers per clump, dry weight of tubers per clump and tuber weight loss. Observational data from each treatment were statistically analyzed and continued with a further test of Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that both interactively and mainly the administration of Bokashi Kiambang and NPK 16-16-16 had a significant effect on plant height, number of leaves, harvest age, number of tubers, wet weight of tubers per clump, dry weight of tubers per clump and tuber weight loss. . The best treatment was giving Bokashi Kiambang at a dose of 375 g/polybag and NPK 16-16-16 5.625 g/polybag (B3P3). The main effect of giving the best Bokashi Kiambang is at a dose of 375 g/polybag. The main effect of giving the best NPK 16-16-16 at a dose of 5.625 g/polybag.
