Abstract

This research is motivated because there are still students and still have difficulty in dancing, especially the Basic Dance Movement. Formulation of the problem in this study is how to teach dance basic movements in high school Negeri 1 Pangkalan Kuras. While the purpose of this research is to knowing the success of teaching basic dance movements, to achieve good results better, collect and solve every problem found in this research. The theory used in this research is using Syaiful Bahri Djamarah's theory (2014). Teaching component in this research namely objectives, materials, students, teachers, situations, methods and evaluations. This research using descriptive analysis method using qualitative data, because this research is a research conducted by approach to the object under study to obtain accurate data. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. With the number of students 35 people and 1 teacher taken from class X science 5 with 6 meetings and 45 minutes time allocation. Method teaching using the lecture method, the question and answer method and the demonstration. The types of data to be obtained are primary data and secondary data teaching basic dance moves at SMA Negeri 1 Pangkalan Kuras by obtaining data from observations, interviews and documentation, from these data will the author analyzes again so as to get more accurate results. Elements teaching basic dance movements at SMA Negeri 1 Pangkalan Kuras includes preparation, delivery, training and display of results. Research results at SMA Negeri 1 Pangkalan Kuras achieved the KKM result of 75. The curriculum used in the teaching process using the 2013 curriculum.
