Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of the interaction of various organic fertilizers and the concentration of the hormone GA3 on the growth and production of chickpeas. The research design used a factorial completely randomized design (CRD) with two factors. The first factor is a variety of organic fertilizers, consisting of four levels, namely, no organic fertilizer, goat manure, bokashi ketapang leaves and titonia compost. The second factor is the concentration of GA3 hormone, consisting of four levels, namely 0, 25, 50 and 75 ppm. The parameters observed were plant length, flowering age, percentage of flowers to fruit, harvest age, number of pods per plant, pod weight per plant, pod weight per plot, and pod length. Observational data were analyzed statistically and continued with the BNJ test at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction effect of various organic fertilizers and the concentration of GA3 hormone was significantly different on all observed parameters, except for the length of bean pods. The best treatment was a combination of titonia compost and 50 ppm GA3 hormone. The main effect of various organic fertilizers had a significant effect on all parameters observed with the best treatment of titonia compost. The main effect of various concentrations of the GA3 hormone had a significant effect on all observation parameters except for the pod length parameter with the best treatment being 25 ppm concentration.
