Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of learning the art of dance in class X at SMAN 1 Pekanbaru. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis method with a qualitative approach. There are 3 data collection techniques taken, namely observation, interviews and documentation. The research subjects were 37 people, namely 1 cultural arts teacher and 36 students of class X IPS 3. The theory used was Bambang Suhendro (2006: 27) which states that in learning dance the teacher must carry out three stages / activities, namely creative activities, reproductive activities and appreciative activities. The results showed that the teacher carried out the learning of dance in class X according to the learning tools and the curriculum used by the teacher was Curriculum 13. While the student learning outcomes could be seen that every student whose score had reached the KKM.
