Abstract

"THE EFFECT OF GIVING A COMBINATION OF PELLETS AND KIAMBANG (Salvinia molesta) TO THE SMOOTHNESS OF LIFE AND GROWTH OF DUMBO CATFISH SEEDS(Clarias gariepinus)". Under the guidance of Ir. T. Iskandar Johan, M.Si. This research began in February 2021at the Fish Seed Hall of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Pekanbaru Islamic University. This study was conducted to find out the effect of the combination of pellets and kiambang(Salvina molesta)on the smoothness of life and growth of dumbo catfish seeds(Clarias gariepinus). In this study the method used is Complete Random Design (RAL) with 5 treatments and 3 repeats with P0 Pelet 100%,P1 Pellets (75%) + Kiambang 25%,P2 Pellets (50%) + Kiambang 50%, P3 Pellets (25%) + Kiambang 75%, P4 Kiambang 100%. The container used is a kemba with a size of 1x1x1 m. For the highest kelulusdupan value, P0 with a dose (100% pellets) of 68.3%, the highest weight growth is at the P0 treatment of 11.98 cm, then at the highest catfish seed length growth at P0 treatment of 6.38 gr, then for the highest daily growth rate at P0 treatment of 6.23% and efficient feed conversion value at P0 of (68.33%) at 100% pellet administration. As for water quality during the study, the temperature was 27-31oC, pH 6 ppt and DO 5.0-6.8 ppm. The slowness and growth of dumbo catfish seeds is fastest in P0 with 100% pellets and every treatment changes.
