Abstract

Cumulative oil production “G� oil field until the end 2013 was 17.5% OOIP. Efforts to increase and improve the oil recovery in this field by applying the method of enhanced oil recovery (EOR). This method must be applying in laboratory study first, before applied to the field scale. The first step of laboratory study for enhanced oil recovery in the “G� oil field is to screen the suitable enhanced oil recovery method. The aim is to reduce risk of failure off this program. The results of screening showed that suitable method with the reservoir character is polymer injection. Three types of hydrolyzed polyacrylamide (HPAM) were screened which are Kerui, Zekindo, and FP 3630S. Based on the results of compatibility, rheology, thermal, filtration, and screen factor test on Polymer fluids, FP 3630S with concentration 2000 ppm was chosen to continue to coreflooding test. Coreflooding test was planned in three steps. Which are: at first water injected into core, then followed by polymer solvent FP 3630S at 2000 ppm concentraded of 1 PV, then finally injected with water again. The result of coreflooding showed oil recovery of 27.27% OOIP.
