Abstract
Archiving incoming letters and outgoing letters on the Informatics Engineering Study Program at the Faculty of Engineering, Islamic University of Riau is still done manually. Documentation of incoming and outgoing letters is only in the form of writing in a ledger and document storage is still in the form of hardcopy so that it requires considerable time in the process of searching documents previously. To realize an electronic-based academic system, the authors try to implement an old filing system with a new electronic-based filing system, for this purpose an application that is in accordance with the problem is needed, by building applications that can archive letter documents in the Informatics Engineering Study Program Faculty of Engineering, Riau Islamic University. The applications built using the Laravel Framework make it easier for the programmer to make changes to the application. Assessment of system performance carried out by filling out questionnaires has a total percentage of yes or good of 96% so that this research can be implemented.
