Abstract

LEADERSHIP STYLE OF THE REGENT OF INDRAGIRI HILIR PERIOD 2013-2018 IN GOVERNMENT MANAGEMENT INDRAGIRI HILIR DISTRICT AREA ABSTRACT ZULSYAHWANI Leaders in a government organization have an important role in directing and influencing the bureaucracy to work well, compressing time and budget with discipline so that all the visions and missions that have been set by the leader can be achieved according to the expected targets. This study aims to determine what style the regent of Indragiri Hilir Regency uses in the administration of local government for the 2013-2018 period in Indragiri Hilir Regency. The research used is qualitative research, which is a research procedure that produces an analytical descriptive from the written words of the observed behavior of the object. The results of this study that the regent in administering the government using democratic and charismatic leadership styles can be seen from the results of interviews that the author conducted. It can be seen that in the administration of the government that is carried out, it is still considered slow in making decisions. From the results of interviews that the author did. Who becomes the leader, especially the regent, can accommodate the aspirations of the community so that they can present policies to improve people's welfare.
