Abstract

research with the title "Application of Liquid Organic Fertilizer Banana Kepok Peel and Chicken Manure on Growth and Production of White Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.)". This research has been carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Islamic University of Riau, Air Cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City. This research was conducted from December 2020 to April 2021. The purpose of this study was to determine the interaction and main effects of liquid organic fertilizer on banana peels and chicken manure on growth and production of white eggplant. This study used a factorial completely randomized design consisting of 2 factors. The first factor was giving kepok banana peel liquid organic fertilizer which consisted of 4 levels, namely: without kepok banana peel liquid organic fertilizer, 100 ml/l water, 200 ml/l water, 300 ml/l water. The second factor is the provision of chicken manure which consists of 4 levels of treatment, namely: without chicken manure fertilizer, 1 kg/plot, 2 kg/plot, 3 kg/plot, so there are 16 treatment combinations with 3 replications so there are 48 experimental units. . Each unit consisted of 4 plants and 2 plants as samples so that the total number of plants was 192 plants. Parameters observed were: plant height, age of flowering, age of harvest, number of fruit planted, weight of fruit planted, weight of fruit per fruit, number of remaining fruit. The results of the observations were analyzed for variance and then further tested for Honest Significant Difference (BNJ) at the 5% level. The results showed that the interaction of liquid organic fertilizer with kepok banana peel and chicken manure had a significant effect on the parameters of plant height, flowering age, harvest age, plant weight of fruit, fruit weight per fruit, number of remaining fruit. Interactionally, the application of liquid organic fertilizer of banana peel kepok 300 ml/l of water and chicken manure of 3 kg/plot. The main effect of giving liquid organic fertilizer kepok banana peels and chicken manure gave a significant effect on all parameters with the best treatment, namely the application of liquid organic fertilizer kepok banana peels 300 ml/l water and chicken manure 3 kg/plot.
