Abstract

ABSTRACT THE INFLUENCE OF PARENTS’ ATTENTION ON STUDENTS’ LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT IN FIQH LESSON AT ISLAMIC JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL ISLAMIYAH DESA BARU SIAK HULU SUBDISTRICT KAMPAR REGENCY ASMITA YANTI 172410138 This research was motivated by the lack of students’ learning achievement in fiqh lesson at Islamic junior high school Islamiyah Desa Baru Kampar Regency. The purpose in this research examined to know the influence of parents’ attention on students’ learning achievement in fiqh lesson at Islamic junior high school Islamiyah Desa Baru Kampar Regency. This research used quantitative research with correlational approach. The population involved students’ class VIII at Islamic junior high school Islamiyah Desa Baru Kampar Regency with 30 students. Data collection technique used questionnaire, test and documentation. Meanwhile data analysis technique used normality test, linearity test, and hypothesis test and it used statistical analysis in simple linear regression model by using SPSS 23. Based on data computation result that computed by SPSS 23, showed that the hypothesis about the influence of parents’ attention on students’ cognitive learning achievement accepted with significant score 0.000. this research showed that there was any influence of parents’ attention on students’ cognitive learning achievement in fiqh lesson at Islamic junior high school Islamiyah Desa Baru Kampar Regency. The influence score was 0.417 or 41.7% classified in range 0.40-0.599 with strong enough category. It could be predicted that when parents’ attention was increased, it could give contribution to improve students’ cognitive learning achievement in 0.108 or 10.8%. vise versa, when parents’ attention was decreased, the result of cognitive learning achievement would be decreased 0.108 or 10.8%.
