Abstract

COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT FUNCTION BY THE GOVERNMENT OF SIMPANG PERAK JAYA VILLAGE, SIAK DISTRICT (STUDY OF COMMUNITY INSTITUTIONS AND COMMUNITY HOUSEHOLD AND COMMUNITY HOUSEHOLD) ABSTRACT The purpose of this research is to find out how the function of the implementation of community empowerment by the government of the study village of neighborhood and community groups in Simpang Perak Jaya Village. This study used a qualitative descriptive research method. The theory used in this study was using the empowerment of Edi Suharto. The indicators in this study are enabling, strengthening, supporting, maintaining and protecting. This research was conducted in the village of Simpang Perak Jaya, Siak Regency. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, and documentation. The technique of determining information is done by using purposive sampling, which is a way of determining information determined deliberately on the basis of certain criteria or considerations, namely by involving certain people. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the function of community empowerment by the village government of Simpang Perak Jaya, Siak Regency has not been carried out properly, this is due to several factors both internal and external factors such as the lack of socialization of the village government to the community, and the lack of participation from the community.
