Abstract

The study entitled Growth Response of Aloe Vera (Aloe vera Linn) in Peat Soil Media on Embio Concentration and Corn Compost Dosage. This research was carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University, Pekanbaru City for 4 months starting from December 2020 - March 2021. The purpose of this study was to determine the interactions and main responses of aloe vera plant growth in peat soil media at the concentration of embryo and dose of corn compost. . The design used in this study was a factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of two factors, the first factor was embryo fertilizer (E) consisting of 3 levels, namely no treatment, 30 ml and 60 ml, per polybag and the second factor was Corn compost (K) consisted of 4 levels, namely without treatment, 150 g, 300 g and 450 g per polybag, obtained 12 treatment combinations with 3 replications, so there were 36 experimental units. Parameters observed were soil pH, plant height, number of leaves, widest leaf width, longest leaf length, stem diameter and leaf weight. The data were statistically analyzed and followed by BNJ level 5%. The results showed that the interaction of Embio fertilizer and corn compost had a significant effect on the observed parameters of plant height, longest leaf length, widest leaf width, leaf weight and stem diameter and gave no significant effect on soil pH parameters and number of leaves. The best treatment concentration was 60 ml of embryo fertilizer and 450 g/polybag of corn compost (E2K3). The main effect of the embryo had a significant effect on all observation parameters, with the best treatment being 60 ml/polybag (E2). The main effect of corn compost has a significant effect on all observation parameters. With the best treatment 450 g/polybag (K3).
