Abstract

As a form to support the implementation of e-government, in all government agencies. the Ministry of Law and Human Rights through the Directorate General of Immigration implements the implementation of e-governmnet by innovating in all respects, especially in the field of technology. The innovation in technology is a form of choice of solutions provided in providing services for the needs of passport management. The Online Passport Queue Registration Application is an innovation made to make it easier to register for passports online. This study aims to see the effectiveness of the services provided by the Immigration Office Class I Pekanbaru Immigration Checkpoint in the use of the online passport queue registration application, in addition to looking at the factors that hinder the effectiveness of services in the use of the online passport queue registration application. This study uses a qualitative method with data collection techniques research is done by means of observation, interviews and documentation. From the results of the study, it was concluded in terms of capacity, support, and value, namely that the Class I Immigration Office of Pekanbaru Immigration Checkpoint has been running effectively, this can be proven by the absence of long queues, the quota of applicants in the Online Passport Queue Registration Application is always available, not there is also the practice of brokering and extortion. Regarding the socialization of the Online Passport Queue Registration Application, the Immigration Office has carried out through social media such as Instagram and print media such as brochures. With the Online Passport Queue Registration Application, passport applicants find it saves time and money. However, the Online Passport Queue Registration Application also has inhibiting factors such as: network disturbances or server system errors that sometimes occur.
