Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of the village government in the management of jai-jai raok tourism in the village of Padang Tanggung,Pangean District, Kuantan Singing Regency. The problems in this thesis are thatit has not been managed properly and there are no change initiators from both the village government and non-governmental organizations and the low public awareness of cooperation in the management of tourism objects. And the lack of attraction to this tourist attraction itself because of the lack of development or development. The type of research in writing this thesis is a qualitative descriptiveresearch method in which this research explores and analyzes to provide meaningand meaning in problem solving. The data collected is in the form of words, pictures, and not numbers. Thus, an explanation and description of the research topic can be obtained in accordance with the research title. The conclusion is that there is no change initiator from either the village government or non-governmental organizations which is marked by the low public awareness of cooperation in the management of tourismobjects. The inhibiting factors for the management of Jaijai raok tourism include only providing infrastructure (not only physical form), but not carrying out sustainable management or infrastructure maintenance. Suggestions from this research are the physical infrastructure that is not getting good care, so that a careful evaluation is carried out with the tourism object manager so that the tourism object can carry out general promotions outside the village, sub-district and even district and optimizecooperation between the Village Government and the manager of the tourist attraction or with the local community for a better tourist attraction in the future.
