Abstract

Performance is a description of the level of achievement of the implementation of an activity or program or policy in realizing the goals, objectives, vision and mission of the organization as stated in an organization. The term performance is often used to describe the achievement or level of success of an individual or group. These success criteria are in the form of certain goals and targets that have been achieved. The performance referred to in this study is the performance of village assistants in an effort to build village independence in the village of Lipat Kain Selatan, Kampar Kiri District, Kampar Regency. The problem that arises is that the village assistants of Lipat Kain Selatan are often not present at village meetings, this can be seen from the absence of the South Lipat Kain village meetings, the lack of communication between village assistants and the village administration and the villagers of Lipat Kain Selatan. This type of research is a qualitative approach with the research location in the village of Lipat Kain Selatan, Kampar Kiri District, Kampar Regency. Types and sources of data used primary data and secondary data, while data collection through observations, interviews, and research documentation. After the data is obtained, then they are grouped according to their type, then the data is analyzed and linked with theories in the form of descriptions so that conclusions can be drawn. Based on the results of the research, the performance of village assistants has not been going well, this is seen from not being fully able to carry out the duties and functions of village assistants, such as the absence of skills training for the village community of Lipat Kain Selatan, there has been no training to increase the human resource capacity of the village government. alone, and village assistants are not yet capable of empowering the village community so that village development does not run effectively. One of the developments that has been carried out and has been completed is the renovation of the office and the village office facilities and infrastructure to support the smooth work of the village government apparatus of Lipat Kain Selatan village. But even so, the village facilitators have not been able to generate interest in reading from the youth / I of the South Lipat Kain village.
